The Opportunity

At Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures (MLCV), the primary purpose of the Digital Content and Email Marketing Specialist is to support the digital marketing content and email marketing efforts for Grand Casinos and MLCV enterprises, emphasizing building a best-in-class center of digital excellence that helps its client's digital ecosystems. The Digital Content and Email Marketing Specialist will help the successful delivery of multiple digital marketing projects across marketing channels such as web, app, email, SMS, and others. The Digital Content and Email Marketing Specialist must provide ongoing strategic consultation and superior client service to help elevate partner brands and meet business goals.

Critical to the success of this position will be the ability to manage the scope, schedule, KPIs, and quality of assigned digital and marketing projects. The duties listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability needed to execute this job effectively. What you get to do
  • Support the creation and production/deployment process of email marketing campaigns, as well as handle the content updates on our website, grandcasinomn.com, as well as our mobile app.
  • Daily tasks, including building and deploying emails, campaign tests, and deployment, maintaining pages on grandcasinomn.com and within the mobile app.
  • Execute email functions within the Marketing Strategy team.
  • Prioritize email marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Foster marketing email goals, strategies, and objectives.
  • Coordinate monthly email, SMS, and mobile push campaign calendars across the organization.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to plan and manage email, website, and app content creation for overall campaign goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Automation Specialist, Graphic Designers, and Copywriters to optimize the design, content, targeting, and messaging of email communications, landing pages, and within the mobile app.
  • Incorporate results and insights data analysis to improve email marketing communications, website landing pages, and mobile app pushes.
  • Build and A/B test new email messaging, landing pages, and mobile app pushes to improve campaign performance.
  • Report email, web, and app success metrics and/or KPIs, including progressive milestones and benchmarks.
  • Work with the Marketing Strategy team and Marketing Automation Specialist to analyze, develop, apply insights, and innovate to improve Grand Casinos' email, web, and app performance.
  • Support email, web, and app best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay current on trends and emerging technology.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements that Qualify You
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience) in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience with website content updates.
  • Two or more years of experience with email marketing.
  • Two or more years of data-driven analysis, usage of analytics dashboards, and reporting tools. Able to interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of digital media campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines.
  • Experience with technologies and best practices for email, web design, web production, and creative design across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Litmus, and Sitecore is a plus.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR's).
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

  • Strong writing and editing skills are crucial for creating engaging and persuasive content across various digital platforms.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of email marketing is essential.
  • A strong foundation in digital marketing concepts and strategies is essential.
  • Proficiency in analyzing marketing data and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs) is necessary.
  • A good grasp of copywriting principles is necessary for creating effective email campaigns, landing pages, social media posts, and other digital marketing materials.
