Duties

LER TechForce, LLC seeks a Calibration Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 3 days/week. Duties: participate in calibration peer reviews and subsystem product development team meetings; confirm that new software features integrate with control systems to meet functionality requirements; coordinate input from internal and external customers to understand needs and perceptions; develop and deliver calibration review presentations; design, review and post calibrations to support interim and production milestone events; develop tests to ensure the quality, functionality and safety of controls software using manual and automated test platforms; execute calibration engineering standard work and maintain supporting documentation; apply problem-solving techniques (5 Whys); optimize calibrations through data collection and analysis to meet program requirements; analyze data and generate test reports; perform simulations on field data to fine tune calibrations; perform validation testing on test bench and vehicle; release calibrations for production; debug problem reports and change requests; support durability and validation testing; apply analytical tools (modeling, simulation) for calibration design; validate feature performance; work with fellow engineers to support the development of new feature algorithm requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field, and any amount of work experience, academic experience or coursework gained before, during or after the degree in the following technical areas: MATLAB, Simulink, LabView or TestStand; calibration analysis techniques (DOE, or Monte Carlo); C programming language.
