ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Guest service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality staff service.
  2. Assist supervision of staff including hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, operational orientation, and staff development.
  3. Patrols/inspects assigned areas, including casino, hotel, golf course, Tamastslikt, and RV Park for irregularities or undesirable persons.
  4. Protects employees, customers, and Resort property.
  5. Monitors all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
  6. Writes detailed reports on accidents, administers first aid, and provides assistance as required.
  7. Follows established protocol for reporting any tribal, federal, and/or applicable state ordinance violations as observed or documented.
  8. Ensure regular inspection and proper maintenance of fire suppression equipment.
  9. Inspect all areas for safety and fire hazards; file reports on same.
  10. Writes detailed reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage, etc.
  11. Escorts and ensures transfer of money and chips from all necessary casino locations.
  12. Conduct alcohol & and drug testing as requested and transport employees for confirmation testing.
  13. Assist the shift manager in the supervision of the security officers, valet, and drivers. In the shift manager's absence, assume supervisory authority.
  14. Promote understanding and compliance with security procedures, internal controls, personnel policies, and guidelines as directed. Train and guide employees accordingly.
  15. Ensures compliance requirements are followed through regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, codes, etc.
  16. Promotes a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
  17. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, materials, etc. are maintained and handled safely.
  18. Promote internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respect through a positive attitude.
  19. Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
  1. Limited authority over employees and customers about maintaining order and protection of Casino assets.
  2. Act as a supervisor in the supervisor's absence.
SIGNATORY ABILITY:
  1. Fills and credits for Pit as a runner.
  2. Keys for table drop, slot drop, and bad beat drop.
  3. Jackpot verification.
  4. All keys are authorized as listed in Key Control Logs.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:
  1. Pit area.
  2. Any sensitive area, upon request, when accompanied by the department supervisor or MOD.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. One (1) year of security gaming or law enforcement experience.
  2. Possess a valid driver's license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
  3. High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
  4. Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
  5. Demonstrate strong computer skills with spreadsheets and word processing software.
  6. Strong literacy skills are required to comprehend and compose detailed written reports.
  7. Public relations or guest service skills.
  8. Stand and/or walk for long periods (4-5 hours) of time in a smoke-filled noisy environment; tolerate exposure to adverse weather conditions; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers and maneuver bulky items.
  9. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and maintains a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  10. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  11. Must be at least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Supervisory skills.
  2. Valid CDL.
