About the Role

This position will directly report to the Head of Data Driven UW Solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated Underwriter to join the Product team who is implementing the next best Solution transforming the UW for good. You will have a key role in oversight and design of implementations for existing products as well as build its evolution.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Support in developing, expansion and deployment of our innovative UW tool.
  • Own business configurations design and work closely with life carriers, software team and stakeholders to: Design UW journey, and integrate Digital health data in UW process.
  • Document UW requirements, map to impairments and own the UW Business Specification in a structured way.
  • Familiarity working with Business analysts, and Azure dev ops for capturing requirements.
  • Accountable for requirements QA sign off for new implementations with the business analysts and active product go-lives.
  • Support the continuing development of the DDUW products from an Underwriting SME.
About the Team

This role is within the Data Driven Underwriting (DDUW) Solutions team under L&H Solutions division. You will be joining a product team who is on a mission to create a best-in-class solution in underwriting for Life Insurance carriers to address the current industry pain points with UW among disparate data sources in the US market. The team has diverse skillsets of experts from underwriting, and technology and the team work collaboratively with cross functional delivery teams across the globe.

About You
  • You have a minimum 4 years of recent underwriting experience with direct US Life companies.
  • Strong business analysis and the ability to prepare clear business requirement documents.
  • Good knowledge of life insurance risk products sold in North America.
  • Good knowledge of Clinical health data sources and its use in underwriting. Like EHRs, LabPiQture/HealthPiQture, Irix, etc.
  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Self-directed learner
  • Ability to create structure in new frontiers and lead the change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal including delivering presentations, and providing demonstrations to UW and non-UW community.
  • Experience with the deployment of new technologies. Have worked within a rule's engine team before or with technical software team.
  • Familiarity with predictive models used to triage cases in Underwriting field.
  • Flexibility to travel when needed for industry events and client workshops.
