Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Finance control and support of Project
  • Works closely with the operations team to understand project needs, project key terms and key areas for monitoring
  • Supports operations from the finance perspective when required
  • Partners with the project management team on a projects initial budgeting/forecasting, project billing plan, cash flow forecast, and project P/L result forecast
  • Reviews and audits the project controlling files including but not limited to the PO log, CO log, project cost report, and/or any other project related controlling reports
  • Manages the Project Accounting team to update and prepare the PSR report, and lead the periodic review
  • Leads the review of project closing to ensure smooth and accurate closing of the project
  • Works with project team jointly to prepare and review the financial projection on Pira/Tera, other risk review documents, and participates in the review meetings when necessary
  • Reviews and monitors the project's financial performance results, project profitability, cash flow, and risk profile to ensure the health and wealth situation of the project
  • Manages the project accounting team to ensure the accuracy of the input into the ERP system to be in line with the contractual rights and/or obligations
Financial control and management on corporate financial results
  • Leads the annual budgeting jointly
  • Monitors financial results, completes the financial analysis comparing to the budget and/or forecast, works out and proposes the improvement action plan to the management
  • Leads the quarterly forecasting
  • Leads the period financial result review, and works out the financial analysis and summary report
  • Leads the team to complete the solid cash flow report, and makes variance analysis and/or other analysis when needed/required
  • Completes the ad hoc report required by the management as needed
  • Leads the internal and external audit on entity level
Team management
  • Manages the project accounting team
  • Provides training and guidance to the project accounting team
  • Streamlines and standardizes the methods, processes and templates when it's common and effective on the project
Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 10+ years of progressive Accounting, Audit, or Financial Planning & Analysis experience
  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry or related experience required
  • Experience in a progressive Accounting or Finance management role
  • Working knowledge of the complexities of a global company and ability to operate within a matrix environment in a project environment
  • Must have strong technical financial skills and a comprehensive understanding of project business and cost accounting
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting knowledge strongly desirable
  • Oracle experience as a plus
