Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Process incoming mail, payroll deductions, bus passes, issue name tags and ID Badges
  • Provide new hire with Employee ID Badge, Name Tags, Parking Stickers, Non-Gaming applications, etc.
  • Assists with employee's self-service password resets.
  • Supports Human Resources staff in preparation and implementation of Company initiatives, communications, and employee related events.
  • Maintaining employee physical and electronic files, answering employee inquiries.
  • Prepares new-employee files for new hire orientation.
  • Notifies employees of upcoming events (401k, Open Enrollment, Job Fairs), Employment Verifications.
  • Assists employees with general concerns including the completion of Employee Voluntary Statements and notifying HR staff accordingly.
  • Assists in case file preparation and maintenance of tracking logs.
  • Assists with responding to Unemployment Claims and providing necessary documentation to our third-party administrator.
  • Create and maintain sign-in sheets for departmental and/or training meetings.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette necessary.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Strong organization skills, detail oriented, and ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, in both oral and written forms.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Have good organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and make independent decisions daily.
  • Ability to use office equipment such as copier, fax machine, scanner, and multi-line telephone.
  • Regular Attendance and reliability are required for this position.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
