Trajan Scientific is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be a key member of our Sales team in our Microsampling business unit. The overall purpose of the role is to identify and pursue new business opportunities, consult with potential customers to onboard them to microsampling and to build solid business relationship with key decision makers for our microsampling technologies in the Pharmaceutical and Clinical sectors in North America.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business development director on strategies for prospect outreach
Partner with marketing to produce content for use in outreach
Identify and pursue new strategic business opportunities through networking and direct outreach.
Maintain and develop relationships of our current potential partners through networking and direct outreach.
Maintain, develop and managing a pipeline of opportunities with goal of driving revenue
Support all aspects of key partnership development, including opportunity creation, strategic analysis, due diligence, and negotiation
Skills/Qualification:
Broad understanding of and 3+ years sales experience in pharmaceutical or related industry
PhD, MSc. or Bachelor’s Degree in science-related field
Experienced in sales process and managing territories towards customer binding process
Experience to work independently and demonstrative history of exceeding established sales targets
Proven experience of selling in scientific environment with varies decision makers
Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development process (especially of clinical trials)
Ability to rapidly assimilate and apply medical and/or scientific information in order to identify and qualify new market and business potential
Comfortable in presenting in a front of groups of professionals
Commercial mind-set, a strong work-ethic and innovative attitude
Ample experience with and knowledge of Microsoft and/or HubSpot software (a plus
