Job Description

The VP, Clinical Engagement is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the health system's clinical services and engagement model. The VP proactively assumes responsibility for leading and executing on strategic initiatives and projects. This individual has responsibility for leading clinical operations, including clinical specialty services, population health and lifestyle coaching programs. This role will oversee performance management for key engagement and success factors across all clinical disciplines, ensuring the highest level of clinical performance. The VP, Clinical Engagement will implement strategies that simplify and improve clinical outcomes, operational effectiveness and quality of operational service model. The candidate should have knowledge of best practices in the areas of care management (disease and case management), utilization management, health/lifestyle coaching and the ability to translate and leverage those insights into enhancements of our model, based on potential gaps and identification of unmet member needs.

Roles and Tasks:

• Evaluate and enhance clinical program needs and gaps in collaboration with operations leadership

• Support development and execution of clinical engagement strategic plan, including both long range and annual operating plans, in conjunction with other senior leaders, providing insights and recommendations and ensuring alignment

• Oversight and responsibility for all clinical services metrics and goals to improve effectiveness leading to increased member engagement and outcomes

• Responsible for clinical process improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and staff/member experience

• Ensure that clinical services teams are effectively staffed to meet growth demand, with a focus on improving the forecasting, hiring, performance management and coaching processes

• Focus on continuously increasing member satisfaction scores as measured by Net Promotor Score

• Mentoring of internal clinical leaders and pod staff to enhance career progression pathways and next level leaders

• Enhancing clinical engagement and service delivery with a focus on scalability through 3-5x growth

• Support and translate clinical strategy and performance of clinical programs with benefits consultants, prospective and current customers

• Provide clinical engagement leadership to sales, client engagement and pod operations leadership teams Required skills & experience (the "must haves" to be considered)

• Bachelor’s Degree; Masters or significant clinical operations experience preferred

• Registered Nurse or advanced nursing license

• Active, unrestricted OH license

• 10+ years in a leadership position within the healthcare/benefits industry; clinical leadership responsibilities within navigation, care coordination or managed care industry ideal

• 7+ years’ experience in an elevated leadership role

• Demonstrated business acumen in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting

• Strong analytical skills; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions

• Strong communicator, capable of effectively presenting ideas and concepts

• Proven ability to build relationships both cross-functionally and externally

• Strong leader and motivator with the ability to mentor talent within the organization; able to attract and retain top talent What you need to know

• This position will be located in Columbus, OH with travel less than 10%

• Bonus potential of 15% annually is generally realized
