Syndeo Staffing has a direct hire opening for a Front Desk Supervisor for a medical / surgical practice specializing in aesthetics. As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and overall leadership of the reception team.

Job Duties:

  • Provides leadership to team of front desk associates
  • Ensures that employees have the resources, tools, and training needed to perform their duties.
  • Maintains cleanliness and professional appearance of the front office area of the clinic.
  • Manages the front office team's schedule; approves timecards, manages PTO approval process; consults with Director of Operations as needed and keeps both informed about staffing levels.
  • Participates in the design and implementation of new front desk workflows.
  • Trains and supervises front office staff
  • Prepares front desk monthly incentives.
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in hiring and training.
  • Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.
  • Maintain departmental day-to-day front office operations, monitor and prioritize workflow and efficient patient flow. Coordinates with Director of Operations to ensure a smoothly running office.
  • Answers questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates as a front desk staff member, performing all daily responsibilities as needed.
  • Any other jobs as assigned by your supervisor or management.
Education, Experience, and Certification/Licensure Required:
  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of three (2) years of experience in an administrative support role for a medical or health & beauty practice.
  • Previous experience with EMR desired.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and physicians.
  • Great telephone etiquette and ability to speak clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting.
Schedule: this position is in the office and will require travel between multiple locations.

Days: Monday to Friday, with one rotating Saturday per month.

Saturday Rotation:
  • If scheduled to work on Saturday, the employee will have the prior Monday off.
Hours:
  • Monday-Friday: Shifts scheduled between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm
  • Saturday (rotating): 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

No exceptions to these hours.
