Learn more at hexagon.com and follow us @HexagonAB.Purpose of Position:To develop, maintain and manage sales opportunities for Hexagon's mining technology portfolio within the defined territory Achieve business targets set on an annual and quarterly basisDevelop business plans and strategies in the assigned territory with relevant stakeholdersTo contribute to the development of project deployment, customer service and technical support service for the region Establish business opportunities for the Mining business in the region of responsibility, to maintain and build strategic relationships with existing and potential customers and industry contacts Major Areas of Responsibility:Develop and implement strategic business development plans to continue the growth of the Hexagon product portfolio in the US & CanadaIdentify new regions for business development opportunities, performing market analysis for these regions to ensure the direction is aligned with the business and products and solutions being developedManage sales leads through to closure and monitor against approved budgets to ensure financial results are on, or ideally above, target and implement plans to counteract deviationsAbility to organize, track and report on sales pipeline and progress updatesPerform presentations to existing and potential customers Present and demonstrate the product range and associated benefits for customers focusing on Operational technologies (OT) such as FMS/Dispatch, Safety systems, Drilling technologies, Automation, Machine Controls, etc. Negotiate sales contracts and associated training and implementation milestonesIdentify, foster and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and industry contacts supporting the attainment of the goals for the businessWork collaboratively with the Product Management team to provide insights into client and industry product requirements as well as potential developments which will set Hexagon apart from its competitorsRepresent Hexagon Mining in industry events and tradeshowsRepresent the business in industry associations where appropriate to advance the interests of the Hexagon MiningCompliance with all of Hexagon's policies and procedures Other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time Knowledge and Experience - Required:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Mining Engineering or Geology with a working knowledge of the products, competitors and client base within the applicable territory with a focus on Operational Technologies (OT) such as FMS/Dispatch, Safety systems, Drilling technologies, Automation, Machine Controls, etc.Proven successful sales and/or account management track record is essentialConsiderable commercial experience in the mining/geology industry - highly desirable Commercial experience dealing with technical products and solutions (Hardware & Software) used by the mining and mineral industry is essential5+ years of relevant industry experienceKnowledge and Experience - Desired:Strong presentation skills especially to groups and forums of customers.An aptitude for developing plans and strategies to succeedMulti-lingual, english is a pre-requisite but French or Spanish is an assetA passion for achieving business goals and sales targetsAdvanced skills in developing and maintaining strong strategic relationshipsA passion for superior product delivery and customer service and an appreciation for the need for a positive end-user experienceKeen interest in technologyTravel:Domestic travel up to 50% of the time with the possibility of limited International travel.
