Apply Today, Interview TomorrowMust have valid Driver's license2nd Shift 4PM- 12AMHourly Pay Rate $16.50Job Overview:The Ambulatory EVS Utility Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment in assigned location(s), as well as the delivery of equipment and cleaning chemicals. The Ambulatory EVS Utility Technician may also be called upon to assist keeping the premises of multiple Kaiser Permanente locations in clean and orderly condition as described below.Daily Responsibilities:Floor Care DutiesSweeps, mops, buffs, polishes, scrubs, strips and refinishes hard-surface floors using heavy equipmentVacuum, dry/wet bonnet, spot clean and extract carpetPerform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface typesProperly process solid waste as well as infectious and pharmaceutical wasteRemove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies, and equipment from assigned work areaDisinfect receptacles and carts as neededAdhere to safety policies and proceduresMaintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surfaceMaintains storage closet.Responds to environmental emergencies and requests for assistance.In addition to the core floor care duties described above, the Ambulatory EVS Utility Tech may be called upon to assist as needed with housekeeping functions including but not limited to the following:Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.Dusts furniture and equipment.Polishes metalwork.Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebaskets.Transports trash and waste to disposal area.Transport supplies and equipment to various locations within the regionReplenishes bathroom supplies.Transports small equipment or tools between departments.Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.Ability to drive company vehicle in a safe mannerJob Qualifications:Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless they request and are granted a medical or religious exemption.Experience in the janitorial industry a plusMedical cleaning a plusPost-Offer Medical, Background Screening, to include Department of Motor Vehicle check and Drug Test requiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.Prior knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques preferred.Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment and methods of soil removal preferred.Valid Driver's License RequiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
