This individual will support a variety of related roles for our diverse community including:Tracking and maintaining files and records including personnel files, organizational charts, remote work agreements, annual reviews, compliance, and professional licensuresReviewing and providing updates for website directory and faculty profilesEntering and/or approving time entries and ensuring payroll is approved in timely manner.Assisting with department hires and reappointments, participating in the onboarding and offboarding processAssisting with coordination of faculty travel and reimbursementsProviding support to the department's reappointment, promotion, and tenure (RPT) committeeSupporting department engagement initiativesAssisting with department projects and improvement initiatives Providing back up support to front office team, including greeting visitors, sorting mail, answering phones, and other department needs.The successful candidate will demonstrate proofreading skills for clear communications on behalf of the department, using reference guides such as MSU Editorial Style Guide | Michigan State Universitytakes initiative to research and network with others to provide accurate information about employment, benefits, and other resources at MSUtime management to ensure deadlines are met for employment and compensation confidentiality and inclusivityDepartment Overview:Michigan State University Department of Radiology advances knowledge and transforms lives by providing expert patient-centered medical care, delivering exceptional pre-professional and professional medical education, and expanding the understanding of wellness and disease through research and community service.MSU Radiology supports several university missions - providing outstanding patient care, research in biomedical imaging sciences and instructional programs training future generations of highly skilled and compassionate medical professionals. Lastly, a part of our department outreach includes stewardship of the Radiology Healing Gardens. MSU Benefits:The hourly rate for this position is expected to range from $22.53 - $26.44/hr.MSU provides an excellent benefits package which includes a 10% retirement match for employees who participate/contribute 5% to their 403b and a no payroll deduction option for health care coverage. Additionally, full-time support staff receive 24 hours of personal leave per year, which is pro-rated in the first year. New employees are eligible for paid vacation time after six months of service.
