As a Business Systems Analyst lead on the Business Operations team, you will:
  • Contribute to the success of Starbucks as an agent of change and continuous improvement through transformational projects that improve partner, store and customer experience and efficiency.
  • The Store Development Business Operations team works in partnership with our Starbucks technology and functional support teams to accelerate and safeguard Store Development processes through systematic improvement.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
  • Lead systematic improvement activities by working closely with Product Managers and collaborating with business stakeholders, technology, and vendors to drive and deliver road-mapped new products and features.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with business teams and SMEs to analyze and document existing process, use cases, and pain points / challenges and co-create future state processes.
  • Compile metrics and conduct root cause analysis to identify system gaps / deficiencies.
  • Define and create user personas to understand key traits, behaviors, goals, responsibilities, and needs of a specific type of user.
  • Lead sessions with business teams to define and prioritize capabilities and create user stories which yield the highest business benefit.
  • Lead the development and execution of scripts for user acceptance testing efforts. Facilitate user acceptance testing and track observations and issues to resolution.
  • Lead product delivery and launch activities, support quarterly release communications (as appropriate), create and/or update training materials, deliver enhancements, and participate in both high-touch support and post-launch feedback sessions.
  • Apply project management skills, tools, and techniques to business activities to meet project goals and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Assist in formulating, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Use a professional presentation style to communicate and create effective visuals to convey data/information in an easily digestible manner with clear takeaways.
We'd love to hear from people with:
  • Experience leading medium to large systematic improvement projects end-to-end. (minimum 6 years)
  • Proven experience in strategic analysis, business planning, or management consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL.
  • Experience supporting change management and continuous improvement. (minimum 6 years)
  • Customer engagement experience through productivity workshops and continuous improvement activities. (minimum 6 years)
  • Project management experience. (formal or informal - minimum 3 years)
  • Knowledgeable in agile/scrum methodology and user centric design
  • Demonstrated ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity, ability to think outside the box on new ways of working, influencing, and driving our priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, including presenting to large groups.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel/Smartsheet
