Our law firm is seeking a sharp individual to join our accounting department as a billing specialist. You will have the opportunity to work with billing attorneys and their assistants to revise, process, and issue accurate monthly billing. Responsibilities

•Opening all new client matters
•Obtain missing matters or budget information as required for e-billing
•Leads and manages client collections efforts monthly by maintaining an internal tracking system; follow up with clients as directed by attorneys or established protocols
•Manage all aspects of daily time entries into MyCase. Ensuring attorneys and paralegals are entering time Daily, "in real-time"
•Amend invoices with guidance from billing attorneys and finalize for distribution
•Make sure any billing inquiries are resolved by working with the client's accounting department
•Disperse monthly invoices to billing attorneys for initial review
•Run accounts receivable reports to keep track of past due accounts and follow up on payment
•Maintain accurate financial records for incoming payments on accounts

Qualifications

•Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines
•Advanced computer proficiency, especially with MS Office, Excel, and billing software programs
•At least two years' experience working in a law firm environment as a billing specialist
•High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college is helpful
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills are required
