Plumber's Helper

We are looking for a dedicated team member to join us in Leesburg, FL as a Plumber's Helper for our Commercial and Multi-family Unit Divisions, focusing on new construction projects. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with plumbing tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Packing and sorting plumbing equipment for each job
•Locating pipe leaks and preparing the work area
•Fetching tools, truck stock, and equipment
•Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes
•Assisting Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs
•Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes
•Digging and compaction of dirt work and trenches
•Other duties as directed by the plumber
•Spending time learning from peers and from other more senior employees
Qualifications
•Hard-working, willing to learn and to be trained
•Vocational training or professional construction experience or in maintenance is helpful
•The preferred candidate also has advanced mechanical skills, physical dexterity, basic mathematical skills, and strong attention to detail
•Basic knowledge of tools common to plumbing and construction
•Active listening skills, able to understand plumber's instructions and act upon them intelligently and efficiently
•Valid driver's license
•Ability to pass a drug test
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•Ability to work on uneven surfaces
•Ability to stand, bend, or walk for long periods of time
•Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather
