The Goals and Challenges of this Role:
- Review and approval of drawings and models created by other members of the engineering team.
- Develop tooling, fixtures, drawings and procedures working with internal resources as well as external vendors.
- Develop and improve manufacturing utilizing knowledge of manufacturing equipment, assembly techniques and quality control.
- Assure product and process quality through testing methods, establishing and revising standards and manufacturing processes.
- Apply Basic Engineering Principles.
- Develop complete and accurate documentation of existing as well as new manufacturing processes and product introduction.
- Work with Project Managers to implement manufacturing drawings, instructions and timelines.
- Create 3D Engineering Models of Components and Assemblies
- Create 2D Technical Drawings for Fabrication
- 3-5 years manufacturing, quality or process improvement experience
- BS degree in areas related to manufacturing, industrial engineering, engineering technology or relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change through the organization.
- Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor, MS Office tools, and CMM inspection software and equipment.
- Inventor (or SolidWorks) and AutoCAD proficient
- Understanding of ASME/ASTM Drawing Standards
- GD&T experience is a plus
- Experience with Inventor Sheet Metal Tools is a plus
