Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

What Were Looking For:

If you are a rising and motivated Business Analyst, you will be excited about the new Business Systems Analyst I opening on Iridiums Enterprise Applications team. As a Business Systems Analyst I, you will work closely with business users to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements. In this role, you will assist with analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing software solutions to meet the needs of the business. If you have experience or interest in implementing, configuring, and maintaining software applications, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise, you might be our ideal candidate

What Youll Do:

  • Assist the Enterprise Applications team in administering, configuring, and maintaining company software systems
  • Support management and end-users to drive business performance through process automation
  • Investigate, inquire, and inform IT Support teams of trends in technology and recommend and work with management to implement solutions that will enhance processes and efficiency
  • Support system upgrade tests and help resolve system problems and issues prior to implementation of new or enhanced interfaces, and provide support to impacted areas by working with other IT Support teams and user areas
  • Support creating and maintaining integrations between systems and executing on new reporting requests
  • Play a role in change management processes and controls, adhering to SOX compliance requirements

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 0-1+ years of relevant experience with software applications and systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products/deliverables/analysis/issues confidently to various groups in the organization
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
  • Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
  • Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
  • Demonstrated proficiencies with Microsoft Office products

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Some experience administering HR and Finance business applications such as ADP, iCIMS, Deltek Costpoint, and Microsoft Dynamics GP to name a few
  • General understanding of HR and Accounting functions
  • General knowledge of Java and JSON coding
  • Ability to perform SQL querying to extract data and understand output of data analysis
  • Experience with MSSQL databases, Transact SQL querying, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
  • Experience with Windows PowerShell Scripting, Visual Studios, and/or Windows Server 2019 including Terminal Services and IIS configuration

Well also need you to:

  • Be on call
  • Be a US Citizen

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in-person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
