Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Administrator to support the IT Communications group. The Technical Administrator will support the IT Communications Engineering and Field managers as well as the engineers and field technicians to ensure smooth functioning of the groups administrative processes. This person will be the owner of the groups data/document repository folders and Intranet web portal and is responsible for managing much of the associated information content.

Job Description

  • Support personnel contact information management
  • Support new employee on-boarding administrative tasks
  • Technical writing support such as proofreading, formatting and publishing group standard documents
  • Interface with project and/or design engineering to manage drawing publications, updates and redlining.
  • Importing and exporting data to various internal and external databases and/or repositories
  • Coordinate project close-out processes and documentation transfer into appropriate repositories
  • Verify and maintain group records and reports

Skills Required

  • Minimum 3-5 years professional experience as an administrative assistant, department coordinator, and/or other related roles. Experience in an engineering firm or department is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Technical writing experience is highly preferred
  • Applicant must be able to understand system diagrams
  • Applicant must be able to maintain data records with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask and manage multiple requests and support from various sources.
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision, be self-motivated and eagerness to learn is required

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required, 2 year technical degree is a plus
