The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big-picture thinking to help build and maintain a Digital Engineering cloud platform ecosystem that will have a positive impact on the DoD? We're a fast-paced, highly collaborative digital engineering team building and launching capability for web-based systems, to include client-based systems in a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) capability. You'll leverage subject matter expertise in various Cybersecurity areas including Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), system vulnerability, and compliance in support of Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.

We're looking for an experienced IT engineer like you to apply your knowledge in cybersecurity requirements analysis and engineering and impact our nation's security. In this role, you'll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for security cooperation. You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server, Domain Controllers, or IIS, and with Unix/Linux, including Red Hat or CentOS
  • 3+ years of experience with operating relational databases, including SQL Server, Postgres, or MySQL
  • Experience in a cybersecurity or computer field, including supporting information assurance, networking, or systems administration
  • Experience with U.S. DoD RMF processes and applying the principles
  • Experience with applying system security configurations to meet compliance standards
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity standards and the implementation of industry best practices
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policy fundamentals and NIST 8510.01
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a cybersecurity field
  • DoD 8570 IAM I or IAT II Certification such as Security+ CE
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with RMF A&A processes and Cybersecurity engineering, working with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or JWICS Xacta 360 management, Cloud and DevSecOps, and development and scripting, including in Powershell, C#, or Java
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab or GitHub, AWS Cloud, including networking, IAM, EC2, S3, Cloudwatch, or RDS, and container orchestration, including Docker, AWS ECS, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with observability tools, including Prometheus or Grafana, and Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or Ansible
  • Knowledge of STIG and compliance scans
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals and components of an RMF package such as the Systems Security Plan (SSP) and Security Assessment Report (SAR)
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent time management and analytical skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoD 8570 IAM II or IAT III Certification such as CISSP

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
