Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Training is required at University Hospital at 600 Highland Ave in Madison, WI. Once fully trained, the selected individual will work out of East Madison Hospital 2-3 days each week. Eight hours shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Financial Counselor to:

  • Provide patients with estimated costs for upcoming services.
  • Assist patients in understanding the billing prepayment process.
  • Review patients coverage to determine overall cost for the patients specific plan of care.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree In Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 1 year Experience in Health Care Revenue Cycle, insurance, or financial institution Required
  • 2 years Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Preferred
