Responsibilities * Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment * Manage the project using established project controls and procedures * Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control. * Buy-out of the project in alignment with the project budget. * Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management. * Perform constructability and coordination reviews. * Prepare and present monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, and others for internal and/or external use. * Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit. * Negotiate subcontractor back charges and claims. * Prepare Owner Requests for Equitable adjustment and Claims. * Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality. Qualifications EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION * BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management * 5-10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or larger * Or equivalent combination of education and experience * Prior US Government/military construction project experience is preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Strong technical and communication skills * Excellent organizational skills. * Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing * Ability to work in a team * Proficient in Microsoft Office and * Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction. * Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control. * Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan. Must be able to create an environment where "safety first" is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude. * Must have experience supervising a project team. * OSHA 30 hour certified. * Must be willing to travel or relocate.
