Having just won a major project with a Fortune 100 client to support application development, they are ramping up hiring to build a new team of highly skilled Java Engineers. First on deck is a Lead Engineer who will be the cornerstone of one of the development groups.

What You'll Do
  • Full Stack Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality and scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring, Azure and other related technologies
  • Cloud Expertise: Leverage your deep expertise in public cloud services to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions
  • Solution Design: Drive the design of software solutions ensuring they meet client needs and project specifications
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated team of engineers and oversee delivery operations ensuring high-quality service that alignswith client expectations. Continuously refine processes for increased efficiency.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management : You will be theprimary liaison with an end client tasked withunderstanding their needs and ensuring expectations are met through the delivery process
  • Innovation & Industry Leadership: Stay on top of the latest trends in Java and related technologies leading the charge in implementing new technologies and processes
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least one completed project in a leadership capacity (lead or architect)
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Java and related technologies
  • Spring Boot or similar application framework for microservices
  • Experience building distributed systems
  • Ability to write REST and event-driven APIs (EDA) from scratch and deploy into complex, highly-integrated environments
  • Document databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB, etc.
  • Public cloud experience utilizing Azure (most preferred), AWS, or GCP
  • Kafka or similar tool for streaming / event-driven APIs
  • Security protocols including JWT and OAuth
  • Ability to write robust unit tests and knowledge/experience in TDD and/or BDD methodologies
  • DevOps knowledge/experience in automated CI/CD to deploy containerized (Docker) applications
  • Knowledge/experience in GraphQL is a big plus
