Purpose:We are looking for a skilled second shift Operator for a press brake to form, bend, punch, and notch a variety of standard work. The incumbent must also and will be responsible for ensuring products meet our quality standards regarding customer specifications.Essential Functions:Set up tooling and Program Press Brake per Customer CAD DataOperate press brakeWork from blueprints and drawings to meet customer specifications and tolerancesTroubleshoot machines and adjusting the functions and settings of machinesPerform necessary quality inspections to ensure that parts meet guidelines.Perform preventative and regular maintenance on the press to ensure their operational life is extended.Conduct operations that promote safety. Compile with OSHA and MDSD Standards.Participate in 6S activities. RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferredExperience in press brake programming, operations, and changeovers.Hands-on mechanical skillsExperience using height gages and calipersKnowledge of blueprint readingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, as well as part of a teamAnalytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts desiredCompliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and proceduresStrong attention to detailMust have regular attendance as well as willingness and ability to work overtimeAmericans with Disabilities Specifications The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
