Responsibilities: As a Cost Accounting Manager, you'll collaborate within a team framework to execute the following tasks: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for costing and inventory modules, ensuring transaction accuracy and completeness. Prepare and scrutinize inventory and cost accounting journal entries alongside account reconciliations. Furnish explanations for fluctuation analysis of worldwide gross margins. Assess manufacturing variances and work with operations teams to mitigate them. Generate precise and timely inventory and costing reports for operations teams. Analyze standard costs and scrutinize standard cost roll-ups for new products and production operations. Investigate and resolve significant variances before finalizing rolling standards. Cooperate with operations teams to analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete reserves. Engage with internal/external auditors, providing analysis and audit schedules. Ensure adherence to internal control procedures. Offer management oversight to the cost accounting team, providing informal feedback and coaching.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a focus on Accounting. Minimum of five years of experience utilizing a standard cost model within the manufacturing industry. At least three years of hands-on management experience, including supervision of cost accountants. Thorough understanding of manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and standard costs. Proficient in inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) account reconciliations and related accounting. Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and adeptness in fast-paced environments. Experience with inventory cycle count processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-LookUps, data merges, filters, and if statements. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word. Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP).
