The **Cook II Pastry** will check quality of finished food products, utilize proper knife skills, and ensure efficient preparation methods and procedures on a daily basis. Candidate should have professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures, and should be able to work single-stations in the kitchen. The ideal candidates must be passionate and excited about food, with a desire to pursue leadership roles in the culinary profession. This position reports to the Culinary Lead, Sous Chef or the Chef de Cuisine.

Additionally responsibilities include :

* Supporting training needs for new hires

* Ensuring the proper amount for needed food preparation

* Receiving products from the storeroom

* Utilizing the proper storage procedures

* Playing an active role in the prevention of accidents

**Qualifications**

* At least 2 years of experience with working in all kitchens, such as the cold kitchen, restaurants, banquets, and the butcher area

* Pastry experience preferred

* Hotel cooking experience and/or culinary degree

* Good communication skills

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* A high motivation level, commitment, meeting challenges, and the desire to reach and achieve higher positions
