Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Support Services, the Housekeeper performs cleaning services for all Aviva locations. The Housekeeper maintains a clean and safe environment for employees and clients. The schedule for this role is typically Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
Essential Functions
- Cleaning the common office areas at Franklin (and other sites occasionally) daily to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients and employees.
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying waste bins.
- Ensure all rooms/offices/restrooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Notify the supervisor on any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all cleaning supplies, PPE supplies and replace when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
- Keep all equipment and chemicals safe and secure.
- Immediately report any safety issues, concerns observed that can be of harm to clients or employees to supervisor.
- Assist with meeting set up in multi-purpose and training rooms, as needed.
- Make minor repairs at offices under the direction of supervisor
- Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences among the agency's client population.
- Works to promote and support justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels in the organization.
- Works to promote a trauma-informed work environment.
- Actively participate in quality improvement projects.
The Housekeeper will take on special projects or additional duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities & Support Services.

-Must demonstrate customer service skills
-Must demonstrate ability to clean in a thorough and timely manner
Education and Experience
-High School diploma or equivalent preferred
-Experience as a cleaning professional required
-Experience working in a residential treatment facility or hospital preferred
Certifications/Licenses
-Valid CA driver's license
Additional Requirements
-Tuberculosis clearance
-Department of Justice/Fingerprint clearance
-Satisfactory completion of health screening
-Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
-Satisfactory driving record

While performing the duties of a Housekeeper, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and lift objects heavier than twenty pounds. The employee is required to drive. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Employee is rarely required to run or use their fingers to manipulate a keyboard or writing instrument.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily indoors. The noise level varies from quiet to loud.
