The General Manager (GM) at Marco Technologies will lead and oversee all aspects of the business line's operations with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility. This role requires strategic collaboration with a matrix sales organization to drive revenue growth while maintaining a relentless focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. The GM will have direct oversight of service teams, project management, sales specialists, and other customer-facing functions, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence across all departments. This position demands a dynamic leader with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures, foster cross-functional and business line collaboration, and drive strategic initiatives that align with the company's overall goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Profit & Loss Management: Assume full P&L responsibility for the business line, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that drive revenue growth and market expansion in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide regular reports and presentations on business performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner closely with the matrix sales organization to set sales targets, develop go-to-market strategies, and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Customer Experience Ownership: Lead initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring exceptional service across all customer-facing teams.
  • Team Oversight: Directly oversee business line team members, including but not limited to service teams, project management, and sales specialists, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring seamless team and cross-business line integration.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance metrics (KPIs), monitor progress, and implement improvement plans to drive team success.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent within the business line, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources, including budget and personnel, to maximize operational efficiency and ROI.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline operations across departments to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of service delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among various departments to achieve unified business goals.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all business activities comply with legal regulations and company policies, mitigating risks proactively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives effectively, minimizing disruption and aligning teams with new directions.
  • Innovation Promotion: Encourage a culture of innovation to develop new solutions, improve processes, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Decision Making: Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions that positively impact the business line's performance.
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee major contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of service delivery and product offerings.
    Community & Brand Representation: Act as the face of the business line in industry events, conferences, and community engagements to enhance brand reputation.
  • Adherence to Policies: Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8 years of experience in operations leadership roles, preferably within the IT industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong understanding of respective IT business operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of respective IT Business Unit products and services.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
