SUMMARY Responsible for providing frontline support for all matters related to Information Technology, including tier-one customer support, and configuring, installation, reclamation, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware and software issues associated with STPNOC’s business infrastructure. Administers access to the business network and performs account management tasks. EDUCATION • Associates degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology-related degree. (Preferred) • Without a degree, one year of experience in computer hardware maintenance and current Microsoft applications such as Office, Teams, Outlook, etc., may be considered. • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network may be substituted for one year of experience towards the Education requirements. EXPERIENCE No experience is required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, HDI-DAST, HDI SCA and/or HDI-CSR Certifications (Preferred) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Assists in the recording and analysis of reported issues associated with end-user hardware, software, network, email, applications, mobile device management, and remote access. • Understands and applies detailed technical standards, procedures and methodologies to problem solving. • Demonstrates competence at failure analysis of computer hardware/software issues. • Maintains call tracking database, aids in the administration of end-user accounts. • Configures, installs, repairs, and reclaims end-user hardware including workstations, laptops, tablets, etc. • Assists with software installations and troubleshooting. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES – All Levels • Accept on-call remote duty rotation. • Accept ERO position as needed. • Accept outage position as needed. • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access. ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – All Levels • Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs.; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors. WORKING CONDITIONS – All Levels • Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed. • Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week. • Normal office environment with some trips to the plant. • Travel may be required. WORK LOCATION – All Levels • Hybrid/Remote – Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business needs.
