Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technologies is currently seeking a skilled Master Electrician/Technical Lead to join its Construction Services team. This candidate will be the Electrical Subject Matter Expert for varoius business lines within the Construction Sector.

Responsibilities:

Current Master Electrician’s License in Maryland, Virginia, DC, North Carolia, Florida, Texas or ability to test/get reciprocity in these states.

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Master Electrician

Support and provide input to the development of business plans and Proposals.

Able to manage and mentor Journeymen and Apprentices.

Knowledge of OSHA and customer specific safety standards

Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and other industry standards.

Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors

Experience creating project estimates

Demonstrate the ability to complete a job layout for projects of various scope and size

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material

Ability to follow instructions, possess the ability to be trained, mentored, and have a positive attitude.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Ability to diagnose and resolve problems

Fiber optic or wireless communication experience is a plus

Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training

Must be able to interact with our client project managers and resolve problems in the field.

Travel to job sites thyrough out the US is required for this position

Desired Experience/Skills:

Proficient with AI tools such as Python, Java or R and machine learning frameworks such as Spark and TensorFlow

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.

Team player with demonstrated experience working constructively on multi-disciplinary teams.

Ability to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables without oversight and instruction.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 -15 years of professional experience.

Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Performance Expectations

Complete Annual Individual Training Program

Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence

Complete other duties as required/assigned

Comply with all KCI policies and procedures

Manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required

Meet annual Performance Agreements targets

Participate and contribute to annual leadership meeting (includes PLEP training)

Represent KCI in at least one (1) technical society and one (1) community organization

Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope

Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters

Develop project specific safety plans. Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations

Report to Practice Leader, Regional Practice Leader, or Chief Engineer, as assigned

Be an internal resource, as subject matter expert, to the Practice (or to the Regional Practice).

Coordinate within the Practice or Regional Practice, and with other Practices and Regional Practices, and provide technical guidance as needed.

At the request and direction of the Practice Leader (or the Regional Practice Leader), assist in proposal preparation, preparing and attending presentations, and negotiation of scope, schedule, and fee estimates for project.

At the request and direction of the Practice Leader (or the Regional Practice Leader), participate in and contribute to applicable internal and external business development meetings.

Provide input to the Practice Leader (or Regional Practice Leader) for business plans, strategic planning sessions, and other reports and presentations as needed.

Assist in developing and maintaining technical standards.

Ensure coordinated projects fulfil ISO compliance requirements.

Meet with manager as required

Maintain engineering competency and expertise within the field of expertise to be recognized as a technical leader by clients and peers.

Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target
