About Glean We’re on a mission to make knowledge work faster and more humane. We believe that AI will fundamentally transform how people work. In the future, everyone will work in tandem with expert AI assistants who find knowledge, create and synthesize information, and take action on their behalf. These assistants will free people up to focus on the higher-level, creative aspects of their work. We’re building a system of intelligence for every company in the world. On the surface, you can think of it as Google + ChatGPT for the enterprise. Under the hood, our platform is the connective tissue between AI and knowledge. It brings all of a company’s knowledge together, understands it at a deep level, provides industry-leading search relevance over it, and connects it to generative AI agents and applications. Glean was founded by a seasoned team of former Google search and Facebook engineers who saw a need in the enterprise space for their technical depth and passion for AI. We’re a diverse team of curious and creative people who want to help each other get big things done—so we can help other teams do the same. We're backed by some of the Valley's leading venture capitalists—including Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed, Altimeter, DST, General Catalyst, IVP, ICONIQ, Coatue, Sapphire, Craft and Softbank—and have assembled a world-class team with senior leadership experience at Google, Slack, Facebook, Dropbox, Rubrik, Uber, Intercom, Pinterest, Palantir, and others. Role The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in supporting the CEO in major decision-making processes, managing their email/calendar, and acting as a key conduit for the executive team. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of handling confidential information with discretion. This is a high impact role that will have a front row seat into how the key decisions are made at Glean and will serve as the CEO’s right hand. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Support: Assist the CEO in making major decisions by providing research, analysis, and recommendations. Participate in strategic planning sessions and help translate high-level strategies into actionable plans. Email Management: Manage the CEO’s email, including prioritizing messages, drafting responses, and ensuring timely follow-up. Filter and direct communications to appropriate departments or individuals within the organization. Help manage and optimize the CEO’s calendar to make sure time is being utilized effectively and the right things are being prioritized. Please note that this is not an executive assistant role and there will be no travel booking/coordination, or anything like that. Executive Team Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the CEO and the executive team, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Facilitate executive meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items. Coordinate all-hands and company Q&A, and serve as the extension of the CEO. Project Management: Oversee and manage special projects as assigned by the CEO, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Support the CEO in managing daily operations and addressing any issues that arise. Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. Maintain a high level of discretion in all interactions and communications. Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment like Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Investing. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
