As our
Test Engineering Manager
, you’ll support HID’s success by:
Providing leadership and direction for testing of product releases including helping define the test strategy and preparing test plans from system requirements.
Collaborating cross-functionally with managers and business development teams to drive execution.
Reviewing complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Identifying and implementing industry standard software test best practices, methods, and tools.
Developing new techniques and/or improving processes, materials, or products.
Assisting upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.

Proactively identifies problems with requirements (lack of clarity, inconsistencies, technical limitations) for their own work and adjacent work and communicates these issues early to help course-correct.
Proven demonstration of requirements-based testing, defect tracking, requirements tracing and source control management systems.
Respectable leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
Managerial skills in day-to-day operations including mentoring, executing performance reviews and other HR related activities.
Aptitude for continuous improvement.
Leadership by example.
Your Experience and Education include:
Four-year degree in engineering or computer science or minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Proven experience in a leadership capacity.
Experience with working in a highly collaborative and dynamic multi-team environment.
Strong knowledge in testing electro-mechanical devices with embedded firmware.
Expertise with software quality assurance test principles.
Working knowledge of bug/defect tracking and software versioning programs.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills.
Expertise in testing software and hardware solutions.
Scrum, Kanban, and or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience desired.
