ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Other duties may be assigned)Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of products for outgoing and incoming deliveries.Identify, locate, and load products for delivery. Verify the products loaded for delivery match the customer's purchase order (PO).Unload materials and supplies for production inventory and verify materials received match the descriptions and quantities on the pick ticket.Move products in the shop with forklift, pallet jacks and hand trucks.Identify products that are damaged and remove/report for correction.Keep a well maintained and updated record of stock and inventory, convey when items are in short supply.Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by maintaining as instructed.Collaborate with managers and team to locate missing items, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.Keep work areas clean and organized.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILIESNone required.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent GED certificate and/or 2-3 years related experience preferred. Experience working with heavy equipment and in a shop/warehouse setting is helpful as well as experience in record keeping, data entry and stock management.CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSForklift certification a plus.SKILLS & ABILITIESAttention to detail.Collaboration and teamworkProblem-solving skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Written and verbal communication skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical stamina, coordination and strength are needed to move, load, and receive products and materials.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; have finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; and reach with hands and arms.The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.The employee must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use sense of smell.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is in a busy, working fabrication facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes of airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.The warehouse space is not climate controlled.
