LaSalle Network is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a great team of healthcare providers in Brentwood, TN. This is a direct hire role, on-site 2-3 days a week. This position is under the direction of the Manager, Revenue, and is responsible for oversight of all staff accountant activity for the company. The position may have certain responsibilities contributing to payment posting and application to customer accounts, the month-end close, account reconciliations, preparing ad hoc reports and assisting with the company's annual audit. The position will be assigned special projects and may be expected to back up other positions within the department from time to time. Duties may also include assisting with training and assisting other staff members within the team.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting and closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries and setting up and monitoring recurring JEs
  • Help to maintain the general ledger, ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records
  • Have basic knowledge and prepare work in accordance with financial controls
  • Be familiar with US GAAP and be willing to research and challenge the company's processes and policy with respect to recording transactions. Maintain a view on financial reporting requirements
  • Prepare documents and schedules for external audits
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency and automation in the department
  • Back up other positions within the accounting department, as well as provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff

Staff Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
  • Skillful in accounting software and ERP systems. Workday experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial and company information
