Essential Job FunctionsDirect the day-to-day functions of the nursing employees in accordance with the resident care plan, current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facilityImplement and maintain an effective orientation program that orients the new employee to Nursing policies and procedures and to his/her job position dutiesDetermine and inform staff of the work/resident assignment for the shiftAdmit, transfer, and discharge residents according to the doctors ordersInform employees of new admissionGreet new admissions and escort to roomsParticipate in the assessment and care planning process; communicating information observed during the shiftMeet with residents, and/or family members, as necessary. Three (3) years experience in a long-term care facility or nursing home preferred.
