Role: Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Job description:

This position will be a key contributor to the evolution of Oculii's centralized radar technology. This position will develop and implement advanced radar signal/image processing algorithms and sensor fusion techniques. This position will be responsible for developing new radar sensor algorithms to address the increasing sensing capability needed by today's automated driving and ADAS applications The work will heavily involve algorithm development in MATLAB as well as implementation, testing, and verification of embedded system drivers and algorithms in C/C++.Qualifications:
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge
  • 5+ years of radar signal processing experience and algorithm development
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage project timelines and tasks with a commitment to achieving results
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential
  • We're looking for someone who is passionate about radar technology and excited to join our team to help drive innovation and excellence
  • This position will require working as part of a team of developers and collaborating with engineers from many disciplines. A candidate with experience in the entire product lifecycle, from concept definition to product roll out would be ideal.
  • Expertise in using MATLAB for algorithm development, simulation and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of radar, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or RF concepts
  • Demonstrated software engineering skills and proficiency/experience in Matlab, C, C++ and Python
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the following areas: radar signal processing, digital signal processing, image processing, radar systems, tracking algorithms
  • Demonstrated proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information
  • Experience working in a team environment that includes scientists, engineers, and computer scientists
Responsibilities
  • Stay abreast of new developments and trends in radar technology
  • Actively anticipate potential issues and proactively act to prevent or to mitigate the effects
  • Interface with Engineering teams (e.g., Software, Hardware, Firmware) and Program Management
  • Prepare and create technical presentations and demonstrated ability to brief internally and externally
  • Develop, model, simulate and analyze advanced radar capabilities and demonstrate these capabilities on fieldable systems
  • The work will heavily involve algorithm development in MATLAB as well as implementation, testing, and verification of embedded system drivers and algorithms in C/C++
  • Develop and implement robust signal/image processing algorithms in C/C++
  • Signal processing technologies include target detection and estimation, target tracking, array signal processing, waveform optimization, MIMO radar signal processing, image processing, sensor fusion and video tracking
  • Practice well documented modular code development and develop reliable software framework for automated analysis, testing and verification
  • Act as the key interface for the implementation team to the algorithms and systems team to develop novel cutting edge radar algorithms and signal processing techniques
