Responsibilities:

The Specialist, Human Resources will provide support to the Human Resources department by working on a variety of HR projects to expand knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and monitor HR email inbox.
  • Assist with general employee inquires.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and process new hire paperwork while ensuring completion of new hire paperwork for employee records.
  • Assist with maintaining employee records, including all filing and organization of filing system.
  • Assist with maintaining company employee intranet system when there are new hires, promotions, demotions and other employee changes.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating documents and information on the company intranet.
  • Assist with submitting pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
  • Complete registration process and periodically attend career fairs and assist with creating, ordering and organizing materials.
  • Assist with a variety of projects and payroll audits.
  • Assist with organizing community outreach.
  • Assist the EFW Experience team as needed with employee events at corporate office as well as field operation sites.
  • Organize and execute company parties.
  • Work with Marketing on composing and distributing companywide HR announcements.
  • Assist with extending documents and collecting signatures via DocuSign.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes.
  • Assist with HR phones screens and interviews.
  • Monitor and respond to unemployment claims.
  • Help with maintaining OSHA compliance throughout the company.
  • Help with processing leave of absence requests, disability paperwork; medical, personal, disability, workers compensation and FMLA.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; plus 3-6 years of administrative support and human resources experience, required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Position functions with supervision and has no direct reports.
  • Periodic travel up to 15% required.
  • Normal office situation. Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking, or stooping. The employee must be capable of lifting a maximum of 20 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 (especially Word and Excel) required.
  • The successful candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-starter who is able to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • The qualified candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and tact.
  • Strong analytical ability and identify opportunities for continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and identify creative solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.
  • Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
