Job Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for epidemiological, data, and program analysis for the SPF-PFS Program. This position manages the collection, coordination, and analysis of data to support program assessment, performance monitoring, and reporting requirements and includes leading a comprehensive Needs Assessment to identify data gaps, assess substance use concerns, evaluate risk factors, estimate prevention impact, develop an evaluation plan, and ensure timely reporting.

****This position is Part-Time working 20 hours per week. The selected candidate must reside within 50 minutes from the Whiteville office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the timely and accurate collection of data and its input into the designated systems, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and program protocols.
• Coordinate data collection efforts with program partners, ensuring alignment with program objectives and data collection protocols.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports, including the annual impact report, and an Evaluation Plan in collaboration with the Program Director and other team members.
• Monitor performance, quality improvement measures, and progress toward program goals, providing regular updates and analysis to inform decision-making.
• Support the program with the collection of key epidemiological and community-level data to assess substance use disorder (SUD) concerns in the target community, including identifying risk and protective factors.
• Track SPF-PFS Social Media Campaign metrics; conduct ongoing data and program analysis to support a dynamic and iterative process, updating the assessment based on changing community needs and available resources.
• Lead and coordinate data collection efforts from program partners, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data reporting and submission.
• Ensure compliance with VOACC processes and policies regarding data security and confidentiality, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of program data.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Participate in Program meetings, trainings, and other activities as needed to support Program objectives and deliverables.
• Conduct a comprehensive Needs Assessment to identify data sources and gaps, evaluate substance use concerns, assess risk and protective factors, and estimate prevention impact.
• Connect and engage with the Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, statistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience conducting data analysis, epidemiological research, or evaluating programs.
• Proven experience in data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably in a public health or community-based setting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets to inform program planning and decision-making.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in conducting needs assessments and data analysis to inform program planning and implementation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in data collection and reporting processes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with community-based organizations, coalitions, or partnerships is preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder prevention and treatment principles is a plus.
• Bilingual in any language is a plus.
