The types of procedures performed in our health system include cardiology, orthopedics, dental, endocrine, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, labor and delivery, neurology urology, and bariatrics. As a team, they process between 2500 and 15,000 instruments per day. Job responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:The SPD Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, and preparing the surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization.The SPD Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, Central Processing and the facility as a whole while practicing above average customer service.Performs duties as a SPD Technician independently, works proficiently without supervision and is qualified to train new employees.Works in conjunction with the Pharmacy to re-supply crash carts with IV fluids and medications.Serves as a resource to all CSSPD customers.Also responsible for cleaning, issuing patient care equipment and supplies.***THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION.***Norman Regional provides generous benefits for their employees, who they call healers.
