Job Title: Production Line OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Production Line Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating various processing equipment, ensuring the quality of the products, and performing mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance. You will work with a variety of packaging machines and material handling tools to prepare and package ingredients into compounds for internal use or sale.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the equipment for the production line, including all production and maintenance activities.Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.Operate various processing equipment.Read and follow daily production schedules and instructions.Prepare packaging materials by retrieving items from storage, applying labels to containers, setting up, and loading filling machines.Operate various automatic and manual packaging machines, scales, and printing devices.Use industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools and equipment.Maintain correct weight and quality of the bags produced.Fill up supersacks directly from the line.Perform Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum.Maintain high efficiency.Operate and monitor plant manufacturing controls, gauges, and instruments.Fill out all required paperwork, including downtime logs, used parts logs, quality control tests, shift-to-shift log books, dunk test bags, and quality control sampling.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using various hand tools and equipment.Recycle rework materials.Assist in training new operators.Create work orders for repair in 7i.Maintain accurate written and electronic records as required by specific tasks.Communicate immediately to Supervisors or any member of management all circumstances which may affect quality or are considered questionable and unsafe.Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, and instructions.Document non-urgent repairs that can be scheduled.Assist other operators as directed by supervisors in performing all activities associated with the manufacture of products.Work scheduled overtime.Perform other duties as required.Essential SkillsProficient in oral and written communication skills, including the ability to listen, process information, and re-communicate instructions and directions.Strong leadership skills, including decision making, motivating others, and resolving conflicts.Proficient knowledge of mechanical processes and the ability to perform relevant calculations and analyses.Ability to manage the work environment to increase efficiency.Ability to plan and coordinate work and activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and timely.Experience in operating automatic and manual machines, hand tools, and equipment.Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a maintenance technician or machine operator.Ability to safely and efficiently manufacture products.Ability to perform services and produce products to meet target performance levels within cost/budget, on time, within specification, and in the required quantity.Why Work Here?Join our team and enjoy a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
