Essential Duties: Temporary Communication and Marketing Analyst for the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), Office of Great Start (OGS) Essential Duties include participation in contract development and monitoring to ensure continued compliance and maximization of state and federal funds, expertise on strategic marketing initiatives, effectively identifies, plans, and implements marketing initiatives associated with assigned projects, presentation development with assigned projects, work in partnership with stakeholders. Implement strategic marketing initiatives related to the Office of Great Start as assigned.

Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of Sitecore web content editor and ability to engage in updating websites using Sitecore
  2. Ability to engage in meaningful social media content creation
  3. Understanding and experience with disseminating information via listserv
  4. Experience managing website creation and reorganization; work with communications contractor to plan and execute new sections and content for state websites
  5. Knowledge and ability to ensure content is 508 compliant
  6. Assist with managing communications contract and associated projects
  7. Ability to access periodic web site analytics
