MaintainX is looking for an experienced Director of PR who has experience in driving earned media, thought leadership campaigns, and securing speakerships. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive PR program that drives conversation and awareness while elevating MaintainX's brand. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in implementing successful PR campaigns, great media contacts, and excitement about joining a company that is part of the future of work.

What you’ll do:

Create and own the company's PR strategy measured via quality and quantity reporting.

Engage with marketing, product, and sales to ensure that PR campaigns align with strategic goals, growth plans, and new business opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Develop a PR calendar to support product launches, news-making events, speakerships, and other activities.

Build and upkeep press kit.

Write critical content, including messaging documents, Q&As, and press releases.

Manage inbound media inquiries and interview requests; serve as a media spokesperson and liaison on highly visible issues; leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts; build and update media lists.

Develop and execute a speakership plan for executives, working with them on presentations that accurately reflect key company priorities. This includes conferences, events, podcasts, and webinars.

Support media training with internal spokespeople.

Help establish strategies for damage containment in crisis situations.

Review and determine industry and business awards that we should participate in and manage participation.

Create monthly and quarterly PR insights/highlights to be shared with key stakeholders.

About you:

8+ years working in public relations as a client or at an agency.

Background in tech and manufacturing is highly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting and content creation skills

Creative thinker who thinks outside the box and can implement innovative communication platforms and tools, including leading-edge public relations strategies.

Brings a "rolodex" to the job of press contacts and relationships.

Confident presentation skills and attention to detail.

Skilled at responding to crises or challenging situations quickly and professionally.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
