Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic direction to strengthen and scale finance operations to support business growth and strategies. Will play a key role in developing and governing the company's overall business strategy, planning and analysis. Provide inspired leadership to the Finance & Accounting team.

Serve as a contributing member to the Presidents' senior executive staff.

Key Responsibilities:

•Oversees the identification of financial and operational risks and recommends strategies to mitigate them.

•Quickly learn the Agency's business model and proactively identify opportunities to maximize funding.

•Develops and hires key talent for the Finance team to build the succession pipeline to improve the capacity and performance of the Finance organization.

•Advise senior leadership on business and financial trends and propose actions necessary to ensure growth.

•Instills a culture of accountability for results throughout the organization.

•Attend Board and subcommittee meetings and serve as lead on the Finance & Audit committees.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or public administration; CPA required; MBA a plus.

•Previous experience managing Finance for a division or company with $500M + in annual revenue and 500-2000 employees.

•15+ years in accounting/fiscal management of either a profit or nonprofit organization.

•Past success facilitating organizational scale and development within a growing and evolving organization.

•Prefer experience with Workday knowledge and system implementations.

•Past experience successfully partnering with IT staff to manage critical financial management systems.

•Skills as a change leader and ability to positively influence peers and external stakeholders.

•Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements and Office of Management and Budget audit requirements.

•Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
