Job SummaryThe Roll Form Operator will be responsible for operating roll forming machines, performing setup and testing of parts, and assembling components to produce complete rolling steel door assemblies. This role requires precision, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality. Key Job ResponsibilitiesOperate roll forming machines to produce steel components according to specifications.Perform machine setup, adjustments, and testing to ensure proper operation and product quality.Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications, using tools such as calipers and micrometers.Assemble rolling steel door components into complete assemblies following production guidelines.Monitor machine performance, identify and address issues, and ensure optimal production efficiency.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.Perform routine machine maintenance and notify management of any major repairs needed.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.Other duties assigned by supervisor.CompetenciesHand tools such as drills, rivet guns, impact gun, grinders and Mig welding.Machines comprised of band saws, automated saws, lathes, milling, cut-off saw, drill press, copy router, roll-former, punch press and wire straightener.Ability to read and interpret tape measure and dial calipers.Ability to review drawings and specifications to develop process steps required in fabricating the final product.Fork truck license and overhead crane operation.Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.Key MeasurementsManagement observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information.Other key metrics prescribed by leadership, resulting in positive customer and Company impact.Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in manufacturing or machinery operation is a plus.Previous experience as a Roll Form Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production instructions.Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection procedures.Excellent attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.Strong work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check. *This job description is subject to change at any time.
