**Description**

1. Recognize and assign shift resource to best utilize associate capabilities to support warehouse operations and transfer a good product in a safe and efficient manner.

2. Support self and others in operating and maintaining a powered industrial truck in a safe manner that meets or exceeds the safety standards of Cott Beverage.

3. Assist new associates with developing their proficiency with the Company Warehouse management systems (ADC), terminals, scanners and printers, product lines, warehouse layout, loading and unloading procedures, stacking procedures, product rotation, GMP and pre-shift inspection.

4. Be proficient and support others in trailer inspections and operation of material handling equipment (dock levelers, hand jack, wheel chocks, dock locks, pallet wrapping equipment, banding equipment, etc.)

Requirements

Comply with all safety rules and practices for forklift operations.

Follow procedure for reconciling inventory discrepancies.

Own their equipment, work area, and team.

Recognize and address product quality discrepancies.

Ability to pull and stage raw materials and finished good

Material terminology, units of measure and pallet patterns

Ability to preplan activities based upon production schedule.

Key Challenges:

Plan and perform work as a team to insure work is completed timely and accurately and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Anticipate potential challenges in completing work timely and accurately and make necessary adjustments.

Manage changing priorities, work pace, and fluctuating work schedules

Convert technical skills into results:

Abililty to operate powered industrial truck efficiently and safely without causing product damage and creating waste.

Utilize computer and math skills to insure accuracy in production and inventory transactions.

Convert mechanical aptitude into operation skills and trouble-shooting equipment issues and assist in correcting the issues.

Team skills

Able to work as an integral part of the Warehouse Work team but also act as a partner with both up-stream and down-stream customers Production and delivery

Work with problem solving teams to improve department and organization performance, continuous improvement activities.

This position has no direct reports.

Long-term planning and strategy issues

Work as a self-managed group.

Identify and work with other associates as an improvement team to improve efficiency and costs.

Assist in the implementation and execution of new warehouse management system, hardware and software.

Have an understanding of SQF, responsible for Food Safety /Food Quality and to notify a person with the authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issue.

Physical Requirements of the Job:

Constantly climbing onto and off of a riding forklift, regualar walking, standing, reaching, body twisting, full range of motion with arms, hands, neck, legs, and feet

Regularly lifting matericals weighing up to 50 pounds
