This position is responsible for installing and maintainingcomputer network systems and functionality to the highest standards, andtraining system users for appropriate & safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains and administers computer networks & relatedsystem including hardware, software, applications & all configurations.
Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves system networkproblems, replacing defective components when necessary. Maintains partsinventory for emergency repairs.
Configures, monitors, and maintains email applications &virus protection software.
Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measuresto protect data, software & hardware.
Confers with network users about solving existing systemproblems.
Supports & implements Windows operating systems.
Supports & implements backup systems, hardware andproducts.
Supports SAN systems, hardware & storage products.
Performs preventative maintenance, provides end user supportfor all server-based applications.
Evaluates and assists with third-party vendors/products.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 2years' experience as a System Administrator.
Should have excellent diagnostic & problem solving,communication, effective troubleshooting abilities, & time-managementskills.
Thorough knowledge of computer software, hardware, networks,operating systems, and a variety of internet applications.
Professional certifications a plus, ex.-VMWare, Watchguard,Meraki, Microsoft
Should be detail oriented & a self-starter with apositive attitude.
Shift:
Mon-Fri, Day Shift, with on call hours, as required.
