JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing Admin is responsible for providing consistent, dependable purchasing practices to support our internal and external customers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two years technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and procurement experience
  • Two years office experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Construction or Purchasing experience preferred
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledgeable of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, accounting, and business contract language as it pertains to the purchasing function
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Be self-motivated
  • Ability to bring projects to completion on time
  • Have strong organizational skill sets
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary contact for incoming request for call in purchase orders
  • Build and maintain data base of vendors that supply OEG materials
  • Follow-up on payment terms, as well as change orders
  • Expedite deliveries and conduct follow-up procedures as necessary with field employees
  • Coordinate invoice issues with vendors and accounting department
  • Assemble packets into system on purchase orders processed
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor line cards
  • Track returns to vendors from inception to completion of a credit from vendor
  • Coordinate invoice issues with Accounting Department, Field Personnel and Purchasing to be processed in a timely payment manner to capture payment terms negotiated with vendors
  • Provide support in managing weekly pricing files
  • Coordinate equipment transfers as well as jobsite office trailers on the paperwork end
  • Download orders from Material Management to Spectrum
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
