GEE Group has partnered with a growing manufacturer, seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to translate product specifications into comprehensive designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Create and refine tools, mechanical devices, controls, equipment, and mechanical processes, identifying and addressing process deficiencies.
  • Product Integration: Lead the implementation, transition, and integration of new products and process platforms from R&D into the current manufacturing environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality through the design of testing methods, prototyping, and confirmation of fabrication processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Facilitate interaction between teams and departments to optimize setup, reduce changeover times, and enhance quality.
  • CAD Projects: Generate CAD drawings for new projects and update existing ones.
  • Technical Analysis: Analyze technical data, including sheet metal forming and tool & die design.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Ensure equipment operational efficiency by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to plant staff, troubleshooting mechanical issues alongside the maintenance team.
  • Project Management: Develop and submit scopes of work for each project, including budget estimates and project goals, accompanied by analytical reports.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures within the plant.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD, as well as equipment maintenance and PLC controls.
  • CNC Machinery: Knowledge and experience in utilizing and programming CNC machinery.
