The Sr Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) will work under generalsupervision and along the side of some of the world's most talented engineers.The SDE position will work in a team environment as a key technical resourcefor the Global Sourcing and Aero Manufacturing Engineering organization todevelop new supply sources and to improve existing supplier capabilities.Responsibilities will include cross-functional program management to qualifynew suppliers, develop new suppliers, increase capacity, support systemicsupplier improvement, and assessing suppliers to ensure process conformance.The SDE must have in-depth techni cal expertise, manufacturing engineeringexperience, and have comprehensive experience with problem-solving tools.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support supplier hardware transitions, supplier assessments /selection and the development / implementation of supplier quality improvementplans.
● Responsible for leading or participating in supplier capability and capacityassessments
● Support or perform supplier risk identification and mitigation assessmentsfor capability and capacity. Drive closure of action plans to improvesupplier performance and maturity levels.
● Solid process and product control knowledge with full understanding of APQPapplication and implementation.
● Plan and execute suppliers' Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) perSQG-5525 and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) in accordance withAS9102.
● Provide weekly reports to assigned transition team/s the supplier progressregarding FAIR and APQP status.
● Strong quality engineering capability including auditing, RootCause-Corrective Action (RCCA), Quality Management System knowledge, inspectionplanning, functional test application strategy, and overall process controlfrom a risk mitigation approach.
● Support communication and compliance of regulatory / government / customerrequirements, engineering specifications and company policies / procedures.

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain,Business, Management
• 7years+ of manufacturing engineering and supplier development experience
• Experience in one or more of the following: Quality, Business, SupplierManagement background (supplier quality and/or development)
• Global Mindset: Capable of working effectively across borders with employees,customers and shareholders to develop business opportunities that lie beyondcommunity and country borders. Supports sourcing for representing qualityto manufacture, deliver products and services efficiently/effectivelyglobally.
• Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

• Strong process control and quality management system knowledge base.
• Product knowledge in mechanical / electrical components and manufacturingtechniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings / specifications and assess formanufacturing capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance Engineering and practicesapplicable to the manufacture of aerospace products including regulatory,military, commercial, and industry/customer standards (i.e., ISO9001-2000,AS9100)
• Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams consisting ofemployees, customers and shareholders that lie beyond community and countryborders.
• Self-starter with ability to perform to department standard work with minimaldirection
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions in an ambiguous environment
• Certified Green belt / Lean Expert / Black Belt preferred.
• Expertise and working ability with Microsoft Office Professional Suite
• Team Center, HASP, SPOC, Net Inspect and SAP.
