Join Array to make a mark on our business and grow your career. Who we need Reporting to the Manager of IT, we are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Specialist. You will partner with cross-functional teams in Development, Technology Operations, QA, Data, and Security to enhance our software development life cycle and release processes. You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our core business systems and applications, configuring and deploying server technology and virtualization. You will develop automated testing frameworks and implement monitoring systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure. You will provide technical support and mentorship to team members while analyzing current technologies to recommend enhancements and improvements. Your expertise in microservices architecture and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation will ensure our infrastructure remains scalable and resilient. As our new Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will: Manage IT Infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain the Array infrastructure and manage systems housed in our third-party data centre. You will ensure scalability and reliability while also implementing automation solutions to effectively manage repetitive tasks and reduce manual intervention. Configure and automate. You will use configuration management tools to automate and standardize system configurations. You will configure and deploy server technology and virtualization, ensuring a streamlined and efficient setup. Validate. You will develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to validate the quality and functionality of our highly customized ERP and Dataweb systems, ensuring robust performance across our applications. Optimize. You will implement monitoring, alerting, and backup systems to maintain infrastructure health and performance. This includes managing backups, contributing to disaster recovery planning, optimizing automation scripts, and conducting gap analyses to recommend enhancements and ensure peak system efficiency. Solve. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure build, deployment, and environmental issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations. Support projects. You will establish clear goals for projects and develop actionable steps for timely execution. You will collaborate with project management teams to monitor progress, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives while maintaining accurate technical and functional documentation. You have: The knowledge. You have a strong understanding of networking concepts and systems security best practices. You have extensive experience working in an Agile environment or following an established release protocol. You possess knowledge of monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and performance. You are familiar with best practices for configuring, implementing, and maintaining cloud platforms, automated testing frameworks, issue tracking and resolution systems, as well as incident management systems and processes. The technical skills. You have hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, and have worked with microservices architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC) automation. You are highly proficient using Microsoft .NET and MS SQL Server. Additionally, you have experience with systems virtualization using Veeam, VMWare, or Hyper-V. You may have used scripting tools like Bash, Python, or Powershell, but it is not required. The ownership. You are detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality work, and capable of balancing competing priorities without missing deadlines. You are results-focused and take the initiative to manage issues proactively and persist until a satisfactory resolution is achieved. The interpersonal skills. You have professional written and verbal communication skills and can translate technical concepts for business audiences. You are highly collaborative and have experience working with Development, Security, Project Management, Application, and Architecture teams as well as vendor partners. You are also able to thrive in an autonomous role. The flexibility. You understand and are able to adapt to the needs of an always-online environment and you are ready to roll up your sleeves to respond to high priority issues. You are willing to work outside of regular business hours and on weekends to conduct system patches and updates and can be part of an on-call rotation.
