General Responsibilities

  1. Complete general accounting functions for all Agency departments and programs.
  2. Provide accounting services in a computerized accrual accounting system on a timely basis for a medium-sized social service agency.
  3. Assist with AP functions as assigned.
  4. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
Essential Functions
  1. Prepare month-end bank and account reconciliations on-time and accurately, question variances and resolve timely.
  2. Book month-end journal entries such as depreciation, insurance, prepaids, investments, and other entries as needed.
  3. Track credit card receipts and reconcile transactions to the statement.
  4. Assist with preparation of the annual agency budget.
  5. Prepares financial schedules as required for the annual audit
  6. Code administration and development expenses.
  7. Support Accounts Payable processing and enter transactions as needed.

Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or 5+ years related accounting experience. All degrees must come from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S. Department of Education approval.
  2. Ability to problem-solving effectively and take initiative to resolve issues as they develop.
  3. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, accurately, and quickly.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and constructively with persons from all racial, diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds.
  5. Advanced skillset with Microsoft Excel; proficient with Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  6. Exceptional communicator with excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal communication skills; able to easily engage others.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  8. Passage of complete background clearance.
  9.
